This was a real whole church effort with members of all ages taking part in so many ways, from building ice-cream stands and coconut shies to supervising at the various activities and stalls and we all had a brilliant day. The seaside theme grew out of Jesus's words for His disciples to be fishers of men, so the halls were transformed into the seaside complete with boats, fishing nets, fish bunting and lobster pots. As the children made paper boats and floated them on water, they were able to hear about Jesus calming the storm and they decorated photo frames with Bible verses, placing their photos from the photo booth in them. The puppet show/storyteller told the gospel story in a wacky, memorable way, and throughout it all, at the inflatables, the sideshows, the face-painting, the ice-cream stand and the barbecue, we sought to honour God as we shared the Gospel
